Sunny Spring

17/4/2015

Children have been involved in deconstructing electrical items, using  a range of tools safely. They have talked about the components and reassembled them. This has led to some discussions around electricity and circuit making.

The fine weather has ensured the garden has been really busy: children have been sustaining interest in imaginative play. Many children were using props, such as masks and swords, they had created themselves in their play. It is noticeable that children are beginning to collaborate with increasing independence and are developing narratives in their play.

A group of children enjoyed harvesting our rhubarb, preparing it and using it to make a delicious rhubarb cake. It was a wonderful opportunity for children to observe and be part of the journey from garden to plate.
