Benchmarking allows schools to compare income and expenditure against similar establishments.  Governors use this tool as part of measures to ensure they are offering value for money.

Under current Department for Education legislation, maintained schools are required to publish on their website a link to the specific page on the Schools Financial Benchmarking website dedicated to their school.
