The past two weeks have been filled with celebrations at Rachel Keeling.
Last week we celebrated our annual International Evening: delicious food was shared, dancing, singing enjoyed and children and families created hats and paintings together. It is a wonderful way to come together and share what makes our community unique. Today the Nursery has been awash with characters from our favourite books: we've had pirates, princesses, wizards, caterpillars, wolves and bad tempered ladybirds to name but a few. Families shared books and all children have taken home their World Book Day book Elmer's Parade. There has been a focus on den-building in the garden and the children decided they wanted to turn the den into a library. It has been wonderful to see children sharing a range of books and mark making meaningfully, making their 'library cards'. |
