Dear Parents and Carers, thank you very much for your generous contributions towards raising money in response to the tragic disaster in the Philippines; we raised £172.67!
My thanks also to all our parents and carers, for their substantive support during our Ofsted inspection. We are likely to receive the report around the 6th of December and will subsequently ensure all parents and carers receive a copy. My thanks also, to both the staff who worked tirelessly in their drive for excellence, and indeed to our Governors for their equal dedication towards our collective school. Have a wonderful weekend. Dear Parents/Carers,
As many of you will no doubt know, we have our Ofsted inspection tomorrow and Friday (the 21st and 22nd of November). Can I please ask parents to complete the parent view questionnaire which is on our website or go to: www.parentview.ofsted.gov.uk Thank you very much for your assistance. Best wishes Ben Hasan Head Teacher There has been a wide range of learning experiences taking place this week; including children developing their curiosity and problem solving skills through exploring and finding out what types of materials are attracted to magnets; to developing their skills in climbing, and balancing. Of course we are very pleased to have had so many dads, uncles, Grand Fathers etc, to come into the nursery and spend time with their children. Spending time with your child in the nursery clearly is important; it boosts children's self esteem, as well as giving the parent/relative/carer an opportunity to get a closer insight into their child's life at nursery.
A very warm welcome to all our parents/carers and children; we hope you all had a wonderful half term break.
The week has started with a wonderful array of challenging learning experiences: including children understanding both the concept of a 'doctor's surgery' along with developing their vocabulary including such terms as: 'skull, heart, rib cage, and symptoms'. Additionally some children have been involved in learning how to programme a simple robotic toy as well as engage in rich imaginative play using natural materials. The development of children's imagination is absolutely crucial to their overall cognitive development: consider what Albert Einstein said: " When I examine myself and my methods of thought I come to the conclusion that the gift of fantasy has meant more to me than my talent for absorbing positive knowledge". We also had a group of children visit the Natural History Museum to enhance their knowledge and understanding of animals and dinosaurs.the gift of fantasy has meant more to me than my talent for absorbing positive knowledge”. Albert Einsteinhan my talent for absorbing positive knowledge”. Albert Einstein |
