Summer Fete
Our Summer Trip to Paradise Wild Life Park
Our Summer Fete was a wonderful event as it illustrated the rich and immensely welcoming community we have at Rachel Keeling Nursery School. Children and families were able to interact with one another celebrating different cultural events as well as sampling fantastic food. Our huge thanks to all the children and families who supported this event and made it a huge success.  We managed to raise £900.00!!!
For our summer trip we visited Paradise Wild Life Park. This provided a wonderful opportunity for children to further enhance their curiosity and observational skills as well as of course experience the awe and wonder of seeing such magnificent creatures. It was of  equally wonderful to spend time with our parents and carers in sharing this great experience with them and their children.
Rachel Keeling Annual Art Exhibition
The children have been developing a wide range of skills including: using a drill and hammer, knowing how to sculpt with clay, explore and experiment with 'foot printing' as well as enhancing their knowledge about weddings!
Below are some of the comments made by some of the parents/carers who attending the exhibition:
"mummy and Michael thought the exhibition was absolutely brilliant!"
"Great work by all the children".
"I love the fact every picture is different and that kids can use nails an d hammers!"
"Great photographs, amazing frames. Wonderful work by everyone".
Metamorphosis: Caterpillar to Butterfly
The children have been involved in observing the life cycle of a butterfly; through such experiences the children have children have been developing their observational skills, developing an understanding that books serve a range of purposes as well as understanding such terms at chrysalis and metamorphosis.
