Music at Home
A great deal of research has been carried out with regards to musical activity and the brain and it is evident that music-making, singing and dancing aids the general development and well-being of young children. Regular musical activity can help support children’s acquisition of language and communication. It can aid their personal and social development, their physical agility, well-being, imagination and creativity. Musical activities may also help towards an understanding of mathematics, allow us to make sense of our world and aid literacy skills.

Have fun making music with various items from around the house. Pots and pans drums to a rice shaker, let your imagination run with creating your own musical kit. Then you can have your very own festival at home.

Barefoot Books
Barefoot Books have lively animations, simple lyrics and catchy tunes, the singalong songs are a great way to develop reading, listening and singing skills.

Dance improves flexibility, coordination, balance, range of motion, stamina, muscle tone, strength and posture. But physical fitness is just one of many benefits of dance that can enhance your child's life in so many ways. You can also have fun playing musical chairs, musical statues and making your own dance routines.

Let's dance!
I hear thunder, I hear thunder,
Hark don't you, hark don't you?
Pitter patter raindrops, pitter patter raindrops,
I'm wet through, so are you.
I see blue skies, I see blue skies,
Way up high, way up high,
Hurry up the sunshine, hurry up the sunshine,
We'll soon dry, we'll soon dry.

Brush your teeth, brush your teeth,
Give them all a treat.
Brush up and down and all around,
To keep them clean and neat.
In the morning and at night,
Clean them twice a day.
Brush up and down and all around,
Keep fillings well away.
