Play is the Way - A Film Documentary at Rachel Keeling Nursery School
Rachel Keeling Nursery School has been asked to take part in a documentary film about play.
Play Is The Way is a documentary film dedicated to showcasing the value, significance and necessity of play based learning in early childhood development. The story is told by children - showing them, listening to them and learning from them, as well as the educators and families around them.
There will be a small film crew, sensitively filming in school on Monday 22 May and Tuesday 23 May 2023. We think this is a wonderful opportunity to capture our wonderful provision and promote play and the role of nursery schools in it. Elizabeth, Bennett and David are the crew who will be sharing the two days with us at Rachel Keeling.
Becky and the team will be available on Monday 15 and Thursday 18 May to talk to all families who have questions and give any information. Alternatively please drop Becky and email [email protected]

We are excited to be part of this project with our school community.
Permission forms for all children and staff will be shared and we would appreciate your support in giving permission for the children to be filmed naturally in their play over the two day period. Children will not be identified by name and will be captured as they play and engage in learning with their friends. The children's learning will not be disrupted: the child always comes first.
