Summer Fete

What came first?

This month some mysterious eggs arrived at our nursery! Nine beautiful chicks hatched and children observed changes happening. Sadly one of the chicks died. The children were supported to talk about life and death and were given the opportunity to bury ‘Tom’ in a ceremony where they chose music and symbols (blossom from the tree) to mark the passing of the chick’s life.

Trip on the cable cars

We went on the DLR from Stratford to Royal Victoria. At Royal Victoria we got on the Emirate Cable Cars for an exciting journey over the River Thames.
