As the Paralympics draw to a close and we realise the successes of the British team, we wanted to spend some time exploring with the children differently-abled people with the children. Staff supported children in discussing images, resources, their own experiences and ideas as well as watching clips of the Paralympic athletes in action on the iPads. It was a perfect opportunity to introduce our newest friend, Persona Doll Bobby to the children. They were supported by a sensitive practitioner in sharing their ideas and views, listening to Bobby's story and asking him questions. Bobby will be back to visit soon.
This week also saw many of our families and staff observing Eid-ul-Adha. The whole school community came together on Friday afternoon to celebrate with a party: food was shared and music, dance, talk and laughter enjoyed by all. "This is the best afternoon ever!" one child was overheard exclaiming. Comments are closed.
