Beautiful Beginnings

9/9/2016

Welcoming our families back after the summer break is always a joy: hearing new baby news, summer-time adventures and noticing the physical changes in many of our children. We are also welcoming new families to Rachel Keeling: the green shoots of our relationships being nurtured every day by the things that bind us - the love of the children.
Children have settled back in beautifully. Many exploring new friendships, some having found their voices over the summer and now showing real leadership qualities. Apples have been harvested and juiced with the children problem solving and negotiating along the way. New climbing challenges have been conquered, allowing children to be wonderful role models to the new children. Using real tools at the woodwork bench have enabled many children to make choices and develop their strength. All of this has been able to happen because the children feel secure and have established relationships with each other and adults in school.
As we welcome our 63 new families this term we will keep relationships and attachment at the heart of everything we do.
