Thank you very much for all the families that were able to attend our National Children's Day event. Children and families were involved in a range of learning experiences including; making a fire, going a bug safari, pond dipping, finding out about recycling as well as participating in group games. All these experiences are very important as they support children in developing early scientific skills such as hypothesizing and prediction as well as fostering their curiosity and boosting their self esteem. We hope parents/carers will use many of the ideas they saw today, to engage with their child at a later date. I hope you all will continue to explore the wonders of the outside with your child!
